Quartzelec has formed a new joint venture with Oman-based Turbo Machinery Maintenance Services LLC (TMMS) to establish Generator Services Company LLC (GSC), further expanding its presence across the Middle East.
The 50/50 venture builds on Quartzelec's operations in the UAE and establishes a base in Oman from which to support customers throughout the region. Operating from dedicated workshop facilities within TMMS' existing operation, GSC will provide maintenance, repair, refurbishment and life-extension services for high-voltage generators, motors and associated rotating electrical equipment.
The Middle East is home to a substantial installed population of rotating electrical assets supporting power generation, oil and gas, water and industrial infrastructure. Many of these HV machines have been in service for decades, creating ongoing demand for specialist engineering expertise to maintain reliability, improve performance and extend operational life.
The partnership combines TMMS' regional infrastructure, facilities and market knowledge with Quartzelec's engineering heritage and experience supporting critical rotating equipment across international markets.
Dominic Buse, Director of International Operations at Quartzelec, said: "Oman represents an important strategic location within the region and this partnership enhances our ability to support customers closer to their operations. Working alongside TMMS gives us a stronger regional platform from which to deliver specialist engineering services and respond to the long-term needs of operators across the Middle East."
Stephen Morrison, Managing Director of Quartzelec, added: "This investment reflects our confidence in the region and the opportunities it presents for continued growth. The combination of local capability, established facilities and Quartzelec's technical expertise creates a strong foundation for the future, benefiting both customers and the wider business as we continue to expand our international footprint."
Generator Services Company LLC is expected to be fully operational from September 2026 and will support customers across Oman and the wider Middle East.
